Attest has a demonstrated track record of completing thousands of engagements on-time and on-budget. We are so confident of our performance that we routinely contract on a fixed fee basis. Since 1997, we have not missed the filing deadline on a single audit.
Attest leverages our breadth of expertise to work on organization-specific consulting engagements.
Our subject matter experts can meet a wide range of needs, with recent projects including validation of an organization’s internal quality programs, working with health plans on system transitions, and working with health policy organizations on validation of new measures.
Our History
Attest Health Care Advisors began as the health care payer consulting division of a big five accounting firm in 1997. Our service offerings included regulatory, financial, and operational advice for health insurers. In 2006, Attest was divested due to Sarbanes-Oxley regulations. We are now an independent, privately held limited liability corporation serving the needs of over 80 health insurers, 150 pharmacies, and many provider organizations.
We have been dedicated to auditing and consulting with health plans, pharmacies, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), hospital systems, and provider organizations for two decades.

HITRUST’s 2026 Trust Report found that 99.62% of HITRUST-certified environments remained breach-free. Attest has maintained HITRUST certification since first achieving it in 2016, reflecting our longstanding commitment to strong information security practices.

Our approach to projects is collaborative and educational in nature. We are not here to find a ‘gotcha.’
Our goal with each project is to work collaboratively and constructively with our clients to get accurate and achievable results. We are dedicated to a methodology that permits ongoing investigation and resolution of problems as they are identified. To accomplish this objective, we work with our clients to develop a process comprised of distinct tasks within a detailed time frame tailored to their needs.

Laura Hart, CHCA
Principal & Chief Executive Officer
Laura has over 20 years of experience in managed care compliance and quality measurement. She currently focuses on HEDIS®, AMP, and Medicare Data Validation audits, but also lends her support to special projects. Prior to joining Attest, Laura performed IT control and process audits in support of financial and internal audits at a large national accounting firm. Laura has served on NCQA's Audit Methodology Panel as Attest's Practice Leader since 2017.

Glen Braden, CHCA
Glen has over 30 years of Managed Care experience both from the health plan and provider sides. He is Attest's technology leader and serves as a member of NCQA's Expert Coding Panel. He was a founding member of HITRUST’s Health3PT initiative whose goal was to reduce third-party information security risk with more reliable and efficient assurances. Glen has been a CHCA for more than 18 years.

Christy is a certified HEDIS® Compliance Auditor and seasoned healthcare leader with more than 20 years of experience partnering with managed care organizations to advance quality performance and regulatory compliance. She provides executive oversight of operations while leading HEDIS®, RADV, and Medicare Part C and D Data Validation audits, in addition to complex ad hoc healthcare data audits. Christy’s strategic leadership and deep regulatory expertise drive operational excellence and trusted outcomes for clients.
