Health Exchange Quality Reporting Audits

Attest is excited to add Health Exchange audits to our service offerings.

On March 23, 2010, President Obama signed the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The law put in place comprehensive health insurance reforms, including the establishment of the Health Insurance Marketplace (also known as Health Exchanges). The Marketplace provides a set of government regulated and standardized health care plans from which individuals and small businesses may purchase health insurance policies. The ACA Health Exchanges became operational on January 1, 2014. All Federal-run, Partnership-run, and CO-OP plans in the Health Insurance Marketplace are required to contract with a NCQA-licensed organization to perform an annual HEDIS® audit.

Health Insurance Marketplace Quality Initiatives

Exchange audits, like HEDIS audits, must be led by an NCQA-Certified HEDIS Compliance Auditor (CHCA). Our team includes the largest number of CHCAs of any NCQA-licensed organization. We are the only firm to employ a full-time medical director who leads our clinical team.

Attest Health Care Advisors is the market leader in HEDIS audits. The team at Attest has been performing audits since before the inception of NCQA’s HEDIS program in 1997. In 2016, Attest audited over 59 Marketplace submissions from 35 organizations. The audited organizations spanned many states and ranged in size from large multi-state health plans to small CO-OP plans.

We look forward to partnering and navigating this second year of Exchange reporting with you. Contact us today to discuss how we may help your organization.
